Photo Phrensy: Scream 2

Lets face it - With only a handful of exceptions - Sequels Suck! You take a good idea, you milk it for all that it is worth, you make action figures that are only VAGUELY relevant to the plot / storyline, you sell some other stuff inside of your local Hot Topic, "Kool Kids Farm" store - and then what. You toss what's left of your integrity into the hole of commercial worship - and you press the "loop" button. But crappy sequels aren't a new thing - no no no.

Artists have always had bills to pay. That schmuck from Italy painted more than just one ceiling, in fact he and some of his friends from school started up a house painting business for a while... Not much to see really, lotta houses with little fat babies with wings on their backs and their junk hanging out there for the passers by to ogle at.

We have uncovered a relic of suckitude from days gone by, so here's a glimpse of the little known sequel to a classic from Edvard Munch.

Stay in school, kids.

It's official, so let's leave a comment.

This is genius and the culmination of hard work and a wildly creative streak, as well as a penchant for off-beat humor. I am dumbfounded by what I see here.

I do not care for the denigration of that talent, even in jest...

Is it me, or does it seem like reverendjobe might have killed a gypsy?

THinner reference, for the win! That's like the "Headshot" of Comments, right there. Extra points awarded, for sure.

I can say this - I LOVEd working on this series of images. One grew out of aniother, and they spiraled up, rather than down. The funniest thing to me is that the starting image was the weakest one in the bunch. TOTALLY not worth a Q post. Would NEVER have seen the light of day, without the work that followed.

Is there a faveorite image in the run? For me it's the full "painted" version, prior to adding it to the canvas. I love it.

Complete honesty: I like "Paintin' Ain't Easy, yo..." the one before the one you love. I had no problem with the pink. I thought it was surreal and I liked how contrasty the colors were. That's the one that did it for me.

For me it's a toss up between Flogging a Dead Horse and Newsworthy. I thought the former worked very well together. And I'm just as a big of a fan of the latter, although, you work it like no other.

Overall, very impressed with the phrensy. Interesting use of the photo descriptions to tell us what you were trying to accomplish. Journey of a 'stache?

Oh, and you do love you some toonpaint...yes you do.

The Toonpaint app is starting to be a crutch for me - I have to step away for a bit. And I have a new sketching tool that I am dying to try out.

I loved adding the text and titles to the Phrensy. I felt that it helped to explain the mojo. I also like having a place to explain where I had used a particular app, or effect. Not something that I usually do, right?

And as for the overall praise / kindness - many thanks, yo. Compliments from you guys means a lot. Makes me want to post more!

You do fantastic work in Toonpaint. I feel like you have mastered it. The question is, would you rather exploit that master further by concentrating on the art? Or would you rather take on the challenge of a new app? I dunno. Either way, you put up great 'staches, yo.
